Before I begin, I just want to start off by admitting I've never actually received 'Perfect Town' status. It wasn't because I had no knowledge of Animal Crossing, it was because I was always too lazy to mark acres and plant a certain amount of flowers and trees in them; that was it. And that's all it ever is. Getting a perfect town is nothing more than patience. If you've been playing Animal Crossing you'll know exactly what I mean. Anyone can get perfect status... It isn't complicated... It isn't hard... It's just time consuming. That's why I've never truly gotten around to it. That, however, changes today! Also, I recently started playing City Folk again on August 31st. :P So it took me 15 days to get around to actually completing it. I also want to say that during this Daily Journal you'll find a lot of tips that involve anything landscape-related in Animal Crossing: City Folk. You can count on the next entry to be a guide on landscaping now that I've pretty much mastered it myself. (Not just because I have a perfect town).
You know, I'm going to tell you another story. I never expected to get a perfect town. Sure, I cut down every single tree and took all the flowers from around town and bought a bunch; but I never actually formatted my town to make sure I planted trees and flowers accordingly to ensure I got perfect status once I was done. I planted all of them to my liking putting trees in flowers near cool patterns and placing them near paths or putting them in a certain position just to make my town look, well, original. And that's what I'm all about and what Animal Crossing is for everyone. Originality.
I wasn't going to make this entry, but I decided it might as well be special so I decided to go around town and take some pictures of my gardens and such. (Please note that these aren't all of the main gardens I have. There's a lot more in certain areas of my town; I just decided to pick out a couple favorites and other important locations around Ga'Hoole).
The first Jacob's Ladder to appear in Ga'Hoole

I suppose it is somewhat important to notice that picture wasn't taken today. I actually was roaming around town yesterday when I found a Jacob's Ladder randomly. At first, I thought: "Wait, a Jacob's Ladder? My town isn't perfect..." So after I found that I ran straight to Town Hall to talk to Pelly about the environment to find that Ga'Hoole reached 'Perfect Status'. That's when I got pretty excited considering I've never seen that before. :P I've never owned a legit Jacob's Ladder. Speaking of hybrids now, I don't have a lot of those around my town either. I believe at the moment I have around four. Having your town at perfect status won't make hybrids appear any faster, but I will get more gradually. All it takes is time, good location for your flowers, and a sliver watering can! That's right; not normal, not gold. Silver. And I'll tell you why right now. A normal watering can performs the exact operation you need to keep your flowers alive. Liquid to ensure they stay alive without wilting. A Golden Watering can is a nice tool to have, but I don't recommend asking someone to use theirs. That's not what Animal Crossing is about! Don't you want your own watering can? It's not the same when you borrow someone else's to achieve your goals. Things don't work that way and it certainly doesn't matter. Those golden roses can wait! A silver watering can won't turn wilted black roses gold, but it will encrease your chances of getting hybrids by watering your flowers. (10%) It also has the same 9-square radius as your golden can has. Basically... A win-win situation. In order to get this silver watering can, buy flowers from Nook's shop everyday. Once you've purchased 50, you'll get a letter in the mail from Posy Farm with their thanks. Your reward? The silver watering can!
Below are pictures of all three cans together going from the left; watering can, silver watering can, golden watering can. Also a copy of the letter you'll get from Posy Farm. straight from Maire's mailbox! :D

Where exactly is this Posy Farm? It's a mystery! Tune in later for details on an upcoming creative writing contest. The winner will receive 100,000 bells!
Now? Where exactly is that bonus content I promised you? :P Below, as stated, will just be some of Ga'Hoole's hot spots. Again, please keep in mind that what you're about to see isn't my entire town. Just very, very small fragments of some of my favorite spots. (Not that my town is any bigger than yours or anything).
To start, my town has an island in the bottom center. It was random and took eleven retries to get. That doesn't mean islands are rare or anything; they certainly aren't. There's tons of pre-set town layouts and a great deal of them contain some sort of island. You just have to keep restarting until you get something that fits you! (There are limited layouts, though). There's not like, 500 different town layouts. More like... Uh... Well, more than 30! D: Less than 100 probably.

So, what's next for Ga'Hoole?
Let's recap for the rest of September (In no particular order)
